HTML0 The quest for fresh opportunities and challenges, as well as changing the course of career options

Prior to moving into London in 2017 I was living in a tiny town in Germany and was a freelancer in the area of After Effects animator. There weren't many possibilities for creativity and my capabilities slowed quickly and I became very frustrated.

Making the move from London and meeting people who is an excellent animator was an enormous motivation for me. It's similar to saying "Damn you, I'm racing with everybody else, and I need to put in my best."

Following my experience in the Pictoplasma Conference, I made my decision to join the ranks of those who are creative of characters. I realized that my characters are best when they're when they are in 3D and I'm currently studying the process. It isn't easy but it's rewarding!

My work has been noticed by the people at Greenhouse Animation, which is why I'm now director of their studio.

The X-Files project, along with the mystery behind socks disappearing

One of the first projects I made using my brand-new style of design was one of my first projects using the Covered by Lemonade clip.

Lemonade Insurance approached me to design a piece to accompany its continuous Instagram collaboration between artists. Because the company is an insurance provider for content, the thought of cute objects from the house in danger was immediately in my thoughts. This is how the X-Files concept was born.

Last winter, I was on locking down and rewatching the x-files. The idea of a classic abduction was to be a given. However, the problem was that people involved must be in the exact place and in the same place so that they can end the animation loop , meaning there is no way that anyone could be taken away. When I first thought of it, I had thought of setting the washing machine set up, and letting some of my pink socks fly towards the UFO.

While making an UFO after which I gave the UFO a few legs, I noticed the ways in which everything can be placed onto top. The UFO has lost its sock and is now regaining it!

My experience is that telling the most compelling tales is the best way to do it by using elements that aren't apparent to be linked initially. That is the ability to let an event unfold to be unexpected, and giving inanimate objects their own identity by adding of funny faces is what is most satisfying for me!

Animation workflow

My method of writing begins by sketching out sketches of characters and drawing out the plot. I made the animatic change to Lemonade in order to better convey the theme as well as the general pace. After that, I get into Cinema 4D and model all my characters. It is also the place where I test different strategies and design frames.

Once the animation using Cinema 4D is done, I shift to After Effects for the compositing process as well as finalization. For the light beam that has a pink hue, it is possible to do with After Effects.

in relation to sound effects, and collaborate on sound effects and work in tandem with Phill Brookes

It was the first time I was working on a project with an engineer in audio identified as Philip Brookes and he truly was an master! The contribution he made helped elevate the footage to the next level, and to ensure that everything flows seamlessly! This was an absolutely remarkable project, which I'm excited to working on future projects that are similar to this!

We've had a conversation with Phil regarding the process of making sound effects for used to create sound effects for The X-Files project. Listen to the whole interview by Phil Brookes.

Right now, I'm trying to learn techniques for character rigging, and making stunning textures using Cinema 4D and Redshift. I am trying out the mix of 2D animation in 3D. I'm interested to see where my concepts regarding characters can take me in the coming years!

guidelines for artists for changing the direction in which they go throughout their career

Here are some suggestions I'd like to share with anyone thinking of making changes in their direction:

  1. Choose the method that best meets your requirements best, and then learn about the process! Motion design may look like you're trying to track each and every program available. But this isn't the case.
  2. Enjoy your eccentricity and do not minimize your eccentricity. Your uniqueness is what distinguishes you. Your distinctive voice and your unique style are distinctive.
  3. You have time to think about, and you can take time to reflect on your ideas. Whatever is happening in your brain, you're able to apply it and create your own unique self!
