If I had to choose one word that represents my style of drawing I would choose 'Spring'.

I want people to see my drawings and feel they are blooming themselves, like a warm spring of blossoming flowers.

Cottagecore is the lifestyle I have chosen and believe in. It could be because I'm from Seoul which is a large city which is why I appreciate nature and the countryside far more than the sights I see every day.

Instead of expressing a sense of ferocity, I express a calm and tranquil mood, similar to what I see in the natural world.

What's the most important thing in creating your illustration?

The first thing I'd like is to discuss the things that I find inspiration in. I find joy from the smallest things. The flowers I encounter in a garden or the whispers of a flower that flutter when wind blows and even a little flower at the corner of a road I pass as I walk.

My work is mostly inspired by small wildflowers. Landscapes that are natural from botanical encyclopedias and rural landscapes can also be a source of sources of inspiration. I have saved a great deal of material through photos and usually take notes of coloring pencil concepts.

Then, let's look at the method of working. I draw to the extent of large-scale details in the manner of real flowers and I communicate my thoughts through the use of color.

I employ pointed colored pencils to precisely depict the form that the flowers take. Then I create a relaxing and warm mood by making use of pastel tones instead of intense shades.

I also like to confront the plain and texture of paper by using the technique of paper flowers for creating the appearance of flowers in bloom.

Instead of drawing just for fun I feel that making paper flowers creates a much greater sense of beauty. This is the closest representation of what I have in my head.
