What would you say about your style?

It's somewhere between stylized and realistic illustration. I tend to use colors that are muted and watery and tend to work with organicand flowing forms. My "style" as a fantasy illustration artist is heavily dictated by the colors I use and what subject matter I choose to draw however, not how the painting is done. I used to work using a much more straight-line style but I've recently changed to a more loose and more expressive style.

What's the secret in creating your artworks of fantasy?

Then I'll go over them again until it looks closest to the way I imagine the image in my mind (within reasons, else I'd devote months to a single painting). I strive to push my shapes to the limit and never settle for just a poor image. I'd rather spend a lot of time trying to get my dreamy illustration perfect rather than rush it.

What are the best places to show the fantasy drawings you've created?

I'll be part of the forthcoming "Oceans and Currents" exhibition on display at Gallery Nucleus in July! While you wait you can follow me via Instagram. Prints are available for sale on my store online Bandcamp If anyone is curious!

And I also have a YouTube and Bandcamp for those interested in my work and I'll release more tracks very soon.

Her Background

I earned my diploma in The Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, California, and I work currently in the entertainment art industry as an illustrator and concept artist. Additionally, I am working on a innovative project named Pearl Farm, for which I draw drawings. I also write as well as perform original songs.

The illustrations for the article come of my own project Pearl Farm. It's my original story, it follows a traveling musician known as Vinny and her pet ray Hubble as they make their way across a globe known as the Lofty Coastline.
