Klarna & installment plans -
One of the biggest questions merchants ask is how to offer installment or payment plans for the customers they sell to.
In the past, the solution is to utilize the flexibility of our subscription-based offerings to limit the number of payment options. But, even though this gives tremendous advantages to buyers and sellers We felt that there must be an easier solution.
Enter Klarna!
We are very excited to be able to offer Klarna as a payment method. Klarna is a method of payment that offers one or more of the following payment options:
- Pay Now. This is a fast payment, but it is made through the buyer's Klarna account (similar the way a purchaser can use Paypal to pay for their purchase).
- Purchase now, pay later. This is where the buyer is given their goods now and pays at a later date (e.g. after 30 days).
- Pay in X. This is a no-interest repayment option that allows the purchaser to choose to purchase the product in three or 4 installments.
- Financing. In some countries, financing can also be an option for customers to purchase the product.
The purchase options Klarna displays to the buyer depends on your location, as the seller, as well as the buyer's location.
If, for instance, you and your buyer reside in the US or Canada, Klarna can offer the option of installment plans with four installments that are interest-free.
Another example is if you both reside in the UK, then they may offer a 'Buy now, pay later' plan where the buyer receives their download link immediately however they pay in a future date.
Products that are expensive
An installment plan is perfect for products that are more expensive, such as online coaching courses or other coaching services that can quickly turn into thousands of dollars.
Being able to offer an affordable and solid installment plan allows you to open your product to a new audience.
Payments
In addition, Klarna offer payment options that boost your marketing reach They also manage all aspects of the payment process for buyers.
So, you won't have to think about collecting payments from the buyers or ensuring they complete their installment plan. Klarna does that for you.
The seller, you get paid in full upon completion of the check-out. Klarna then deals directly with the buyer to collect payments according to the timeframe agreed upon.
