"I come from a firm with a structure which depends on growth in the community because it's open source," he begins. Thus, he decided to build a private Discord community that had access to content on WordPress and this is the site where his very first project on media virtualization.info was hosted, it allowed him to "recycle 20 years of experience".
He chose to use WordPress and not due to his knowledge, however rather due to the flexibility of the platform. "There is a reason why 43% of websites on the planet use WordPress," he adds. The expertise of the WordPress plugin ecosystem is that the results can be achieved with WordPress is remarkable and could be achieved in an extremely small amount of time compared to alternative solutions."
Never compromise on branding is crucial.
Alessandro goes on to say: "Many newsletter and blogging platforms do not offer a lot of choice in creating an distinctive brand. They blend design and feel and everyone has the exact same look and feel. The theme can be customized slightly and include your logo, but these are minor adjustments.
"Every blog or newsletter appears similar. It doesn't seem to work for me. In my experience, when it comes to social media, do not sacrifice the option that is the best for you. Don't compromise on making the most effective effort that you can do to make sure that you have checked the box. Don't do something that you wouldn't like to do is one of the factors that can set you back over many years."

"I developed a brand customers are still talking about from 20 years ago, and they still write to me about. I must have absolute ability as well as the liberty to design all the images of this site in a way that is consistent with my personal branding. I'd like to develop my own personal brand and unlike other publishers."
Becoming valuable: niche and voice
"Two factors are crucial in the process of creating your own online publication" Alessandro continues. "The most important is determining your target market. This is easy to define yet difficult to implement!" He laughs.
The author explains that there's nothing to gain from having another person who is covering the same topic as other people with the same perspective. "You can cover similar topics. It might be about cooking, politics or crocheting or squash, or anything else you want to write about, but you have to be able to see things in a different way. This is what defines your specialty and the way in which you look at things is distinct."
He elaborates that Synthetic Work is looking at AI in a non-technical way and its impact on jobs, industries, economy and society. "If you're looking at cooking, for example this could be an area in which your view is based on the scientific basis behind this. This is something rarely discussed - maybe how, on the most basic level of chemical, why food tastes great.
In the second, you must identify your own voice. "Human is a species who learns through imitation: We say, "Wow, I like the way they write' then you try to emulate the way they write, which is amazing and is the best way to learn as fast as you can. However, you must get to a point in which you have your own voice. This is terrifying!"
It's quite daunting to think people might not like the way you see the world or write about it. However, that's how to stand out from the crowd. "If you're using the same style, or style as the majority of people is a quick way to be disregarded."
Then he says: "People don't read for informational content. That sounds counterintuitive but people find themselves reading for the reason that they trust you: they are intrigued by the person you are, and that curiosity translates into the words you write." The author encourages readers to make sure that their individual style of speaking is visible through the tone they use when speaking about the things you do.
Alessandro on stage at OpenStack Community event held in Silicon Valley
Alessandro states that he's witnessed the phenomenon for over a decade, and continues to observe it on a daily basis. As an example I recently read a book to students considering the idea of pursuing a PhD that was written by one of the cofounders of OpenAI. This guide does not have anything to do with do with artificial intelligence, but it's an article written by him many years ago. In this article He suggests going to a the conference. The author suggests looking away from the agenda and instead focus on the speaker. You should select those you admire and know or that you've heard sound excellent despite the fact that what they're presenting does not match your research."
Alessandro says this is the best way to illustrate the point he is making to inspire people with your personality and the way that you express things. Then, in the end your thoughts can be swept away into the background. "Even though they might not necessarily agree with what they have to say, they'll be eager to know what you think because they have come to trust you, and believe that they have a major role in their life."
