The delightful film puts an "art" in artificial intelligence.

What happens when you mix the power of an AI image generator with a 98-year-old woman whose name is Lillian as well as Harry Potter? The result is "HAIRY POUTER." is a movie of shorter duration by Chris Carboni, a director that blends fun artificially generated images with a commentary on the classic novel of a hilarious nonagenarian.

"Lillian was my mother," says Chris. "She has always had a close relationship and I've been recording her reviews for 10-plus years."

In the years when AI image generators began to take over the web in mid-2022 Chris noticed that the stars were aligning to develop a plan which would take advantage of his long hours of being attentive and help him explore his relationship with this emerging technology. "I had mixed thoughts about these machines and I was looking for an opportunity to learn about them," explains Chris. "At the moment I was talking with my mother-in-law , who recently finished reading "Harry Potter', which I had purchased to celebrate the occasion, as a birthday present."

After that, the movie began to come together using a quick crew composed of "my grandmother and me and my wife as well as our sound engineer and composer who was the complete group" and the remainder of the film tells (futuristic) the story of. Thanks to the capabilities of AI continue to grow with the speed of light The team sat down with Chris Carboni to talk all things artistic and AI.

The high-quality of the photos that you see in this video is stunning. What were you using and how did you achieve the result?

Chris: Then we tried MidJourney with the same format as its first version. It began by entering Lillian's words that had not been cut, and trying to figure out what would be generated by combining the few quotations from the interview. We were amazed by the artistic style came up with after just a few cycles of creating fresh photographs. Therefore, I wrote down some of the traits of the art direction it developed from the image the company created.

The first picture that was shown to us was Ron who was waving his hair. It was stunning. I believe it was kind by putting his shoulders in the air. Also, it was clear that he wasn't wearing an shirtsleeve. The guy looked as if were a god of the sea. When we got the opportunity to photograph Harry and Ron together they were almost touching each other, and we thought, "Oh, this is extraordinary."

The AI was allowed to come up with these fascinating theories, when we finally came up with one we loved, we pushed it to follow. The AI was pushed in that direction in order to make sure that it would be entertaining and easy to learn.

Did it feel like applying AI to this purely human-centric story?

Chris Chris Chris Chris developed this video with some anxiety about AIabout AI. But I certainly enjoyed using it on this project. I believe that this is a fantastic use-case to the project since the application of AI was the main focus of the story.

It was entertaining and fascinating and unique. It was a bit about the awkward but delightful interplay between AI and human beings. It wasn't a case where we decided not to invest money into illustration and made the decision to utilize AI instead. It was a story where using artificial intelligence was the basis of the story telling.

Are you comfortable with AI as a component of the process of creating?

Chris Chris compelling here, however it's become clearly more complicated because the generators are widely used. The potential of these generators has been exposed throughout the applications. The subject has become more complex than it once was based on my personal knowledge and opinions about the subject.

Everyone who's involved in creative work will have be aware of what this means for their work, and adapt to the fact the fact that things are likely to be shifting. Along with this change, are opportunities to develop stunning new ideas and also the automatization of some of the works we love as artists. That makes me sad however, I'll admit it. I am worried about the art of being less valued and becoming more commercialized as it is.

You think this technology can be applied to aid you in the near future?

Chris Chris: Well I am a huge enthusiast of using AI to improve my email, as well as serving as my personal assistant who can respond to questions, providing explanations for complex concepts and completing tedious chores. In terms of creativity, however I'm not certain I'm understanding. It isn't my intention to employ the process for a way to take over human talents in my team. It's not going to be quite as impressive.

Much of what makes our work great can be attributed to the collaboration of other people. A project produced from start through to end using AI depends on the inputs from the brain. Sometimes, that could be good, but in general, productions benefit from the expertise of a group working together and each brings their own knowledge and unique insights on the subject.

One of the most interesting uses I have come up with is to come up with ideas, and kicking off the process of creating. Maybe for raising funding for a project and showing some initial concept work to get something off the base. Animation is a great medium, but it is necessary to have lots of control over the minutiae of the scene in terms of production and artistic motivations. The degree of control required will arrive soon, however the control isn't there yet.
