We surveyed our community of creatives about their experiences using AI. This is what we found out.

The questions often relate to the fear of robot overlords or the complete absence of culture and creativity, or both. In spite of the fears of those around, AI has already stitched its way into the daily lives of people across the globe with no evidence of it slowing down. What does this mean to creative work and those that create it?

Anyone in the creative field will inform that, the human aspect that comprises emotion, imagination, meaningful art is inaccessible to machines. It's also difficult to brainstorm or think up ideas without human input and is often viewed, almost by necessity, as a tool rather than total replacements. "We allowed the AI really come up with fascinating interpretations. When we came across something we loved, we advised the AI to follow that path to ensure it would be consistently entertaining and just effortless to learn."

"It's an exciting time" says Laen Sanches. "It's an opportunity to discover new ways of telling my tales. It's an adventure of fresh methods, tools and exciting possibilities."

AI will open more space for innovative thinking

In nearly every conversation we observed that individuals we spoke to were particularly pleased to employ AI for the purpose of staying clear of the monotonous tasks that full-time artists requires - so they can return to what it is they truly love.

Multimedia creator Romke Hoogwaerts is relying on AI for a simple way to work effectively, whatever the project. "I employ AI to automate my busy job," says Romke. "I've been using it for creating business email templates or even to quote clients on work. AI is always going to perform best at the heavy lifting of simple tasks."

Chris Carboni, too, uses AI to keep his inbox clean and his projects organized. "I am a fan of using AI to improve my email as well as to be a personal assistant who can help me answer questions, explaining complex concepts, or handle repetitive work."

AI AI can be described as an artificial intelligence program that is not an entirely new skill

Through all of our conversations that we've had, we've found common ground between our creatives and filmmakers on the use of AI to improve and expand and improve work, but rather than replace it. "I'm trying to look at this as not being a matter of "They're going to take my job away" or "They're making me lose my job,'" says Jordan. "It's more than a "Ok, so what can I do use it for at the moment? What do I do now with it?'"

Rachel Hulin, for example she Rachel Hulin, for instance, utilized AI to give the appearance of a camera which had disappeared in the past: "One of my favorite cameras was taken out of production however I'm able to utilize AI to reproduce the analog look."

Jordan Clarke, who works predominantly as a director animator, used AI to help him become more comfortable with the process of writing. "I've always been nervous creating," he says. "So I thought"well If I could write through the AI I could utilize it as a generative instrument."

There are many artists who want to investigate the new technology available to them, AI has become a method of producing art that might not otherwise be possible - rather than just reusing or modifying the existing methods.

"There are both good and negative ways to utilize the technology available," Paul adds. "For many people, it's actually creating work that couldn't ever have existed prior to. This opens up endless possibilities that wouldn't be there." Some people believe that AI offers a new stage for creatives to tell their stories that they've always wanted to tell for a long time.
